Yitro Part Two

 

Yitro part two covers Exodus 19-21, the journey to the base of Mt. Sinai to the giving of Torah. We discuss practical holiness and mitzvah which correspond to the three-day sanctification of the people before the giving of Torah.  Yisro (יִתְרוֹ — Hebrew for “Jethro,” the second word and first distinctive word in the parashah) is the seventeenth weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה,parashah) in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading and the fifth in the book of Exodus.
